The baby boom has begun, and there won’t be any stopping it now until our babygirl is here! 2 of my friends back home had their babies within the past 2 weeks. (1 girl and 1 boy). I guess it is hitting me that there is no putting the brakes on all of this….all of us are going to be birthing little screaming banchies one after the other, and I am a LITTLE afraid that they MAY overtake us. They are little but powerful.
I can’t stinkin WAIT

The Good the Bad and the UGLY

The Good thing about Jacob turning 2 tomorrow:
I am so proud of him! He has survived to be 2. He has made it through bumps and bruises and crashes and bad parenting at times. He has pretty much been our test dummy, and he is coming out ok so far! He is smart and funny and really just a sweet little goober! I know that 2 holds so many more memories and so much more growth – and it’s going to be so fun throwing him a party and watching him enjoy everyone’s love!
The Bad thing about Jacob turning 2 tomorrow:
I am an emotional wreck tonight. I guess I am going to be this way the eve of every birthday this boy has. I was this way when he turned 1, and now here I am again. I can’t think about anything dealing with Jacob without crying. 2 years ago tonight I was birthing that boy, and now he is potty training, buckling his own shoes, picking out his outfits, singing whole songs, and growing into this PERSON. Where did the time go! I want to make more memories with him. I tucked my 1 year old in for the last time ever tonight. Something about that just makes a mom sad. He is soo pure right now and I want him to stay this way. FOR EV ER
The UGLY thing about Jacob turning 2 tomorrow:
Before I know it I am going to be the mom of a 16 year old. 2 ugly things- teenage attitude, and me getting some AGE ON ME GIRL! DANG!
There is a season for everything, and I can’t stop time! shoot.

Drinking OJ and saving baby monkeys

This is a pretty cool program that Tropicana advertises on their Orange Juice containers. Every Orange Juice container has a code # on it. And if you log on to
Tropicanarainforest.com
and enter the code they preserve 100 sq feet of rainforest in your name, or anyone’s name you want it to be done in. I am by NO MEANS a greenie, but I did feel pretty good knowing that some baby monkeys are sleeping in peace tonight (because of me). makes me feel good about myself lol-
We drink about 2 containers of orange juice a week, so just think how many sq feet we could save!?!

o⋅tic
>–adjective Anatomy. of or pertaining to the ear; auricular.
If only Sean hung out more on Dictionary.com he would have known the true definition of otic last night.
Last night he came downstairs with the reddest eyes and said “man those eyedrops in the cabinet really burnt the crap out of my eyes…” – “what eyedrops?” I said, “I don’t think those were eyedrops Sean.” -”Yes, they were- they said optic or something on them.”
I didn’t argue, but the next day when I opened the cabinet I saw that little bottle in there so I took it out and read it. It read- For use in the ear only. Drop into the ear to flush out the ear canal. ew. hahahahha. ew. funny.
Later I simply handed the bottle to Sean and told him to read the label- He started laughing at himself and said “ya know the funny thing was– I did it in my right eye and it hurt like heck- and yet, I was like oh well, and did it in the left eye too.”
Only a Sean would do that…

During the series in our church on money money money- it was stated that sometimes God’s people are asking him to bless them, but then not lining themselves up with the biblical advice on HOW to gain God’s blessing in their lives. That definitely hit me.
Especially as far as money is concerned. I never knew anything about biblical principles on debt, or budgeting. All I had ever heard preached in church where $ is concerned is tithing.
God doesn’t want me to be in debt? Oh that’s great God, because I don’t really want to be in debt either! We agreed, (me and that Godman) and started the process of finding our way out of debt, and also finding extra ways to save, and really just seeking to honor God with my his money. And let me tell you about a few special blessings he has brought my way already!
#1- Finally found a house- in our price range and it’s not too shabby either!
#2- We felt this was the house God wanted for us, but were doubting where the financial means would come in to pay the security deposit on top of this months rent in our current house. Guess what God did? YESTERDAY our tax return came in- TODAY we had to pay the security deposit! PRAISE GOD
#3- I let God know that I really desired to be able to get Jacob some fun outdoor toys for this new house, but when I looked at how expensive they were I knew it wasn’t a wise decision- so I waited. Then I stumbled upon this consignment shop- where I got more than I could have asked for in some VERY quality fun bday presents for Jake.
I’m loving seeing how God provides
Signed the Lease !

Tonight Sean and I met with the owner of the house and signed up the lease! She is awesome and we met her family tonight too. We were talking up a storm with them. Could have stayed there forever they are such great people! It’s nice to have Landlords that you know are good people as opposed to just a realty company that doesn’t really care about you or the property. Excited to see what the future holds as far as all this house stuff goes!
